Parents' Guide to using TheSchoolApp

Parents and carers play an essential role in their child's learning.

Taking an interest and getting involved in your child's education shows that you care about their school life and will help them learn more effectively at school. Every child should be reading at home regularly. Parents need to sign their Pupil Planner or Reading Record.

Years 2-6 have an Accelerated Reader log in at school so their comprehension skills can be checked through quizzes. Parents can also log in and see their successes and 'virtual bookshelf' of books read.

Years 2-6 have a Mathletics log in so they can practise maths skills against others, safely online.

Every year group will have home learning tasks set for them to complete.

Children should all be registered for the Children's University (£5 for a Passport available from the office) so out of school learning hours can be collected and then children earn certificates.
