The Federation of North WalshamInfant and Junior Schools

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Key Roles and Responsibilities

The school became part of The Broad Horizons Trust on 1st July 2022. The Federation of North Walsham Infant and Junior School has an active Local Governance Committee, which acts in an advisory and support capacity to the schools and the Broad Horizons Education Trust.

Our core responsibilities are:

  • Standards – to have an oversight of the quality of teaching and learning to ensure the best outcomes for our children and young people
  • Safeguarding – to have an oversight of the school’s safeguarding procedures to ensure they are robust
  • Stakeholder engagement – to encourage, maintain and develop effective community engagement, ensuring that the community and pupil voices are heard

We are committed to continuous improvement. Our governors are able to bring a range of expertise and skills and this helps to direct the Federation and Trust in a positive and effective way.

If you have any suggestions to help improve the school or concerns that you would like to raise to the Local Governance Committee, the Chair of Governors can be contacted via the school office.
