Rewards

We recognise and reward learners who go ‘over and above’ our standards. Our staff understand that use of praise in developing a positive atmosphere in the classroom cannot be underestimated and a quiet word of personal praise can be as effective as a larger, more public reward. It is the key to developing positive relationships, including with those learners who are hardest to reach.

Positive Rewards include:

• A place on the recognition board 
• Class Dojo points/House points
• Golden Table in the dining hall on a Friday
• Work displayed on 'WAGOLL' (What a Good One Looks Like) walls
• 5* star reader displays
• Certificates in assembly (Writer of the Week; Reader of the Week; Mathematician of the Week; Learner of the Week)
• Reading Reward card and free books
• Postcards home sharing successes with parents and carers
