Becoming a Governor

Are you good at seeing the bigger picture and able to share your skills and insight for the benefit of young people? Then the school governor role could be perfect for you!

To become a school governor, no prior experience is necessary and you do not need to be a parent. People with lots of different backgrounds and from all walks of life can make excellent school governors. 

The Local Governance Committee meets on a half-termly basis. In addition to the meetings, governors often visit the school for monitoring purposes on at least a termly basis and attend special events as often as possible.
