We aim to develop pupil agency; children being confident, resilient learners who are unafraid to ask for help and to make mistakes and who take responsibility for their learning and actions. In order to support this aim, we have developed a system of Pupil Coaching.
At the start of each half term, teachers spend some time on a 1:1 basis with every pupil discussing their targets and progress made towards them. They also discuss the child's dreams and ambitions and how to go about realising these in the future.
Teachers always outline the importance of good school attendance (97% and above).
